Thesis title: Investigation of Structural Behaviour of Timber Concrete Composite Building
– Timber Concrete Composite (TCC) structures, utilizing locally available and renewable timber, offer a sustainable solution to
the housing issue of disaster prone coastal regions by providing durable, cost-effective housing, addressing environmental
concerns by minimizing concrete usage, reducing carbon emissions, and promoting eco-friendly construction practices.
Timber concrete composite action mostly depends on shear transfer through the connector. The effective shape of the shear
connector has been investigated numerically in addition to a parametric study using ANSYS general purpose Finite Element
(FE) software. Additionally,the timber beam and concrete column connection is simulated as an integrated part of the timber
concrete building. The top seat angle connected with the vertical bolt through the depth of the timber beam was analyzed
