Call For Paper (Guidelines)
Original research papers related to Science, Arts, Social Science, Law and Business Administration are published in the Port City International University Journal. Each volume of the journal comprises of an issue published in December every year. For the publication in the Port City International University Journal the paper(s) should be of high standard.
The manuscript should be typewritten in double space with wide margins (left and top 3.81cm, right and bottom 2.54 cm) on 29.21X21.59 cm good quality bond or A4 size(21.0X29.7 cm) offset paper and should not exceed more than ten pages. As computers are available everywhere now-a-days, it is expected that the author(s) will computer compose the article(s) according to the style of the journal. Preparation of the manuscript should conform to the style provided in the latest issue of the journal. Papers in triplicate should be submitted to the Executive Editor, Port City International University Journal. If the article is accepted, the author will have to send the article in a rewriteable CD or by e-mail.
The following instructions should be followed by the author(s) during the preparation of the manuscript. On thefirst pageof the manuscript only the title of the paper and the name of the author along with the address should be typed and on thesecond pagethe Title of the paper, Abstract, Key words and Introduction should be given. On the following pages, Materials and Methods, Results and Discussion, Acknowledgement(s) (if any) and References should be added.
Title:
It should be brief and very specific.
Abstract:
Each full paper should have an Abstract containing concisely the principal findings and should not exceed 150 words.
Key Words:
There should be maximum five key words placed after the Abstract section.
Body of the Text:
The text of the paper should be clear and précised. It should include Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results and Discussion. The Results and Discussion should not be separated. Taxonomic papers (where descriptive accounts are provided) must be written in a concise telegraphic style. Only scientific names (Generic and Specific) must be italicized when it is computer composed or single underlined when it is typed.
Tables, Graphs, Photographs, Line drawings, Figures etc.:
Number of tables, graphs, photographs, line drawings, etc. and figures should be minimum. The same data should not be used in both tables and graphs.
Tables should be typed on separate pages. Figures and graphs should be drawn with Indian ink on tracing paper and should be properly labeled with bold solid lines so that these can be reduced up to half or even less than half of their original size. The scale of a figure (when required) must be indicated by a scale line on the drawing itself.Legends for plate (if any) should be typed on a separate page. The photographs should be submitted on glossy paper or JPEG format. Black and white photographs are acceptable. Color photographs may be submitted for black and white. For color printing in the articles, however, the author(s) will have to bear the expenses for the color reproduction. Only good quality photographic prints and original drawings are acceptable.
References:In the text references should be given within brackets with a comma between the name of the author(s) and the year; two or more references, however, should be separated by a semi colon.References at the end of the text should be arranged alphabetically beginning with the author(s) name(s) followed by the year of publication, title of the paper, abbreviated name of the journal, volume, part/issue number in parentheses : and page numbers. In case of books the name(s) of publisher(s) should be given. The names of the books must be italicized when it is computer composed or single under lined when it is typed. Two papers published by the same author in one year must be as Hinton (1967a) and Hinton (1967b). Title of the journals must be abbreviated and italicized when it is computer composed or single underlined when it is typed.
The volume number of the journal must be bold when it is computer composed or double underlined when it is typed. Please follow these Journal style for references:

Short Communication
Short research information should not exceed more than three printed pages (600 words) including graphs, tables, references, figures, names and address of the author(s). The presentation should be continuous and paragraphed, i:e: without headings like Abstract, Introduction, Materials and Methods, etc.
Declaration:
Author(s) is/are requested to give a declaration certifying that the work was carried out by him/her/them and the contents of the paper were not published before or submitted for publication in any other journal and that he/she/they has /have only submitted his/her/their paper(s) for consideration by the editorial board of the Port City International University Journal. Author(s) will receive01 copy of free reprints. For additional copies, the author(s) shall have to pay price personally and for this he/she/they must inform the Executive Editor in writing after the paper(s) is/are accepted for publication. No paper will be published if it does not conform to the style specified for this Journal. The Executive Editor and the Editorial Board will not be held responsible for factual accuracy of the contribution(s).
