Inauguration of wall magazine by Journalism Department

Department of Journalism and Media Studies unveiled a wall magazine named ‘Songjog’ dedicating International Women’s Day. Prof. Dr. Md. Nurul Anwar, Honorable vice chancellor of the university inaugurated the magazine unveiling ceremony.

Students of the 8^th and 9^th batch of the same department accomplished the magazine publishing job as part of their course related work. Recent issues of women achievements as well as trailblazer women’s achievement were included in the magazine. Besides women’s progress, success and their disparity were also focused in the magazine.

In his inauguration speech, Vice Chancellor said, magazine publishing work will develop the artistic and creative knowledge of the students. They will be capable enough to show their caliber at their workstation as well.

Appreciating students for this creative work Chairperson of the department Ms. Dilruba Akter said she will keep her effort to continue this special supplement in future in order to enrich students’ aesthetic sense.

Among others Coordinator of the Journalism department of Port City International University and Professor of Communication & Journalism, University of Chittagong, Dr. Mohammad  Sahid Ullah, Dean of Social Science faculty , ,Mohammad Younus, Exam controller of the of PCIU Salim Hossain, Chairmen of different dept., faculty members and students of journalism department were present in the inauguration ceremony.
