CENtroid-2019

The final segment, namely “Brain Teaser” of two days long “CENtroid-2019” organized by Department of Civil Engineering, PCIU held today on November 30, 2019 at 10.00 am in the university auditorium. This Brain Teaser is categorized in three rounds where the first round comprised of 22 teams were sorted out in two groups each consisting of 11 teams who took competition to qualify for the next round. In the second phase, the 12 qualifier teams from 1st round again sorted in two groups each having 6 teams and finally 3 teams from each side were selected to participate in the final round.

 

 

 

 

 

The final round was conducted in presence of Prof. Dr. Md Nural Anwar, Vice Chancellor, PCIU; Prof. Dr. Sudip Kumar Pal, Resource Personnel from the Department of Civil Engineering, CUET; Dr. Asiful Haque, Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, CUET; Mr. Ehsanul Kabir, Chairman, Department of Civil Engineering, PCIU and all other faculty members of the respective department. Here, the selected 6 teams from previous round participated and PCIU crowned the 1st place leaving CUET and other universities behind.  This is worthy to mention here that this time all three segments had participants from PCIU, CUET, SUB, UCTC, and CPI covering all the Civil Engineering programs from Chittagong.

 

 

 

 

 

Finally, the prize giving ceremony held at 12.30 pm where the winners of all three segments, Mechanics Olympiad Level I, Level II and Brain Teaser were given Certificate and Prize Money. In a total BDT 15,000 prize money has been given to the winners to encourage them for future participation in such events.
