Industrial Tour of The Department of CEN to Diamond Cement Limited -2022"

On October 31^st, 2022, the Department of Civil Engineering of Port City International University organized an industrial tour of Diamond Cement Ltd. in the Majhirghat industrial area.Under the supervision of the Department’s Chairman, Md. Jahedul Alam, and Departmental Faculty Members Engr. Ajoy pal, Mr. Avishek Gosh, Mr. Rozim Mia, and Kushal Acharja Topu, Students from CEN-18-D visited the industry. They were received and welcomed by Engr. Abdul Bari -Director Operation, MD.Golam Mostofa -GM-Plant, Sumedh Barua-DGM-Civil, MD.Didarul Alam -Sr. Manager-Production, Engr. Ishtiaque Raihan Mahmood Manager-Technical Support of Diamond Cement Limited. Shortly, in a conference room available to teachers and students, A presentation on the Manufacturing process, Quality control, and Five types of cement production was presented by MD. Golam Mostofa & Engr Ishtiaque Raihan Mahmood. After that, the student visited the Manufacturing and Quality control department and experienced the cement's physical and chemical quality test under the guidance of Sr. Manager-Production, MD. Didarul Alam, Manager -Technical Support, Engr Ishtiaque Raihan Mahmood.

The brief industrial tour generated a lot of excitement among the students. Students experience on this trip, will be beneficial to them in their future careers.
