With great jubilation, Port City International University celebrated its day long Prize Giving Ceremony of Annual Sports- 2023 event. Today, 26^th February, Sunday, the Honorable Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Nural Anwar inaugurated the event at the university's permanent campus (Kolpolok residential area) by releasing balloons.

About 100 participants out of nearly 600 participants earned their medals in 8 events including cricket, chess, table tennis, carrom, ludo, sprint, badminton and pilow passing. The event’s organizing committee believes that sports competiton is irreplacable in terms of providing healthy entertainment besides providing a platform to show talent.

Expressing gratitude to the participants involving students, teachers, officers and staffs, the University’s Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Nural Anwar said, “Sports is the best way to ensure physical fitness. It is the same as the need of higher education to improve a student merit. This event is a part of year long activites that the university organizes to ensure students physical and mental wellbeing”.

The event was attended by the University’s Treasurer Prof. Dr. Ganesh Chandra Ray, Dean of Science and Engineering Prof. Dr. Engr. Mafzal Ahmed, Dean of Business Adminstration Prof. Dr. Md. Fasiul Alam, Registrar Md. Obaydur Rahman, Controller of Examinations Md. Salim Hossain. Among others were chairpersons of different Departments, Proctor, Forum Co-ordinators and members, Faculty members, Students, Officers and staffs.

The concluding remarks were delivered by the Co-ordinator of Sports Forum and Senior Lecturer, Department of Natural Science Iqbal Hossen.
