Department of Civil Engineering of Port City International University has recently organized a seminar namely “Performance analysis of deep foundation in weak soil” on February 2, 2019 at the university auditorium. Lieutenant Colonel Mohiuddin Ahmed, P Eng, Chief Engineer, Chattogram City Corporation; Former Associate Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, MIST was the keynote speaker of that event. Around 200 students from the department participating in the seminar came to know about the performance of pile foundations instead of shallow foundation in cohesive and loose soil and also a relative study on Static load test and Dynamic load test for evaluating the performance. Prof. Dr. Md. Nural Anwar , Vice Chancellor, Port City International University; Prof. Dr. Sudip Kumar Pal, Co-coordinator, Dept. of Civil Engineering; Mr. Ehsanul Kabir, Chairman, Dept. Of Civil Engineering and all respected faculty members of that respective department were present during the event.
