The 32nd meeting of Finance Committee of Port city international university was held on June 08, 2024 at 10:30 AM to consider the draft budget for the financial year 2024-2025.The 32nd meeting of Finance Committee of Port city international university was held on June 08, 2024 at 10:30 AM to consider the draft budget for the financial year 2024-2025. Chairman of the PCIU Trust and President of Finance Committee Mrs. Thamina Khatun presided over the meeting. Hon’ble Founder of the university Mr. A K M Enamul Hoque Shameem MP, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of the University Prof. Dr. Md. Nural Anwar, and other members were present in the meeting. In the meeting Hon'ble Founder suggested to allocate more fund for the construction of permanent campus in the budget. Allocating Tk 29,33,50,000 for the development and education sectors, the draft budget of Tk 54,90,80,000 was approved in the meeting.

The Journalism Department visited Sheikh Kamal IT Business Incubator, CUETThe Journalism Department visited Sheikh Kamal IT Business Incubator, CUET An academic visit was arranged at the Sheikh Kamal IT Business Incubator (The first IT business incubator in Bangladesh.), CUET bythe Journalism Department of Port City International University in association with Quality Assurance Cell(IQAC), PCIU. As apart of the academic assignment of Development Journalism, a group of faculties and students of Master's program learned about the contribution of the IT Business Incubator in ICT sectors that facilitates start-up companies and other potential companies through mentorship, investment and research collaboration.The visit was led by Ms. Dilruba Akter, Assistant Professor, Journalism Department. Mrs. Taslima Akter Erin, Lecturer, and 20 students of the Master's program also attended the visit.

The event was graced by Chief Guest Prof. Dr. Md. Nurul Anwar, Special Guests Prof. Mainul Hassan Chowdhury and Barrister Prashanta Bhushan Barua, and Chief Discussant Muhammad Ibrahim Khalil, who spoke on the benefits of legal aid.
